1. About Mentor Prep and the Platform

Welcome to Mentor Prep, your trusted partner on the path to success in competitive exams. At Mentor Prep, we have created an innovative EdTech platform that offers comprehensive mentorship and personalized support to students preparing for various competitive exams.

2. Comprehensive Mentorship Programs

At Mentor Prep, we understand the challenges and pressures faced by students during exam preparation. To address these needs effectively, we have carefully crafted mentorship programs that go beyond traditional study methods. Our team of expert mentors comprises accomplished professionals with a strong track record in competitive exams. They bring a wealth of knowledge and firsthand experience to guide and mentor students towards academic success.

3. Personalized Guidance for Your Success

We believe in the power of personalized mentorship to unlock each student's full potential. Our mentorship programs are designed to cater to the unique needs and aspirations of individual students. Through regular mentor calls and interactive sessions, our mentors provide personalized guidance, address doubts, and offer valuable insights. This approach empowers students to overcome challenges, enhance their understanding, and perform at their best during exams.

Mentor Change Requests

Where a student is eligible to request a change of mentor under their plan, the request should be raised in writing to contact@mentorprep.in. Our internal reassignment procedure may take up to 48 hours, calculated from the time the student's complaint or request is received. That 48-hour window applies where no Sunday falls within it; where a Sunday intervenes, the procedure may be extended by a further 24 hours, up to a total of 72 hours.

For the duration of that procedure, the student's plan is treated as paused and their plan days are frozen. Days spent waiting for a new mentor to be assigned are not counted against the duration of the plan, and the plan's validity is extended by the corresponding number of days, so that the student loses no paid mentorship days on account of the change.

Reassignment remains subject to mentor availability and to the eligibility conditions of the student's plan.

4. Platform Services

Mentor Prep provides access to a cutting-edge EdTech platform at www.mentorprep.in. This platform serves as a one-stop solution for all your exam preparation needs. It offers a user-friendly interface that allows students to access study materials, practice tests, and interactive resources. Our platform enables seamless communication with mentors, providing a dynamic learning experience.

Study Material Access by Plan

For students on the Premium, Elite, and Ultimate plans, the study materials referenced in these Terms and on the platform are made available directly on the Test Portal. For students on the Basic plan, such materials are provided on demand and are not preloaded on the Test Portal; these students must request the required material from the admin, either on WhatsApp or by tagging the admin within the app.

5. Transparency and Trust

Transparency and trust form the pillars of our operations. At Mentor Prep, we provide clear pricing information, and there are no hidden charges. We value open communication with our students and prioritize effective support throughout their journey. In any manner where selection is assured is subject to efforts from mentee as well. 'Selection Assurance', 'Selection Guaranteed', '100% Success' & all the similar terminologies used during promotion/display of any course on this platform are for promotional purpose only and we don't promise any 100% selection chances through our courses.

6. Refund & Cancellation Policy

All payments made towards any mentorship plan, course, or service offered by Mentor Prep are strictly non-refundable. Once a payment is processed, it shall not be reversed, refunded, or credited under any circumstances whatsoever.

By making a payment and enrolling in any of our plans, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • No Refunds: All fees paid are final and non-refundable. No partial, prorated, or full refunds will be issued regardless of usage, satisfaction, or any other reason.
  • No Cancellations After Activation: Once your mentorship plan has been activated, cancellation requests will not be entertained and no refund shall be applicable.
  • No Chargebacks: Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute through your bank or payment provider is a violation of these terms and may result in immediate termination of your account and access to all services without any obligation on Mentor Prep's part.
  • Service Delivery: Mentor Prep is committed to delivering the services as described in the chosen plan. Non-utilization of services by the student does not entitle the student to any refund.

We strongly advise all prospective students to thoroughly understand our services, mentorship approach, and plan details before making any purchase. We offer a Free Counselling Session specifically for this purpose: to help you evaluate whether our program aligns with your goals and expectations. Please take advantage of this session, ask questions, and make an informed decision. Once payment is made, the above no-refund policy shall apply without exception.

7. Acceptable Use, Cooperation & Termination for Misuse

Mentor Prep is committed to maintaining a respectful, safe, and productive environment for its students, mentors, and staff. Enrollment in any plan is conditional upon the student's adherence to the standards of conduct set out below.

7.1 Expected Conduct

By enrolling, the student agrees to: (a) engage with mentors and support staff in a courteous and cooperative manner; (b) form expectations of the service based only on the features expressly described in the student's chosen plan and in these Terms; and (c) reasonably cooperate with the mentorship process, including attending scheduled calls, sharing the information required to deliver the service, and following the agreed study plan.

7.2 Prohibited Conduct

The following constitute a material breach of these Terms:

  • use of abusive, obscene, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or derogatory language toward any mentor, employee, or representative of Mentor Prep, in any medium;
  • demanding services, outcomes, or entitlements that are not expressly part of the purchased plan, or asserting undefined, unreasonable, or unilaterally-expanded expectations of the service;
  • a persistently non-cooperative attitude that prevents Mentor Prep from delivering the service as described; and
  • alleging a deficiency in service without any reasonable evidence or good-faith basis, where the service described in the plan has in fact been made available to the student.

7.3 Good-Faith Intervention

Where a dispute or concern arises, Mentor Prep will make good-faith efforts to intervene, understand the student's grievance, and resolve the matter amicably through its support and grievance-redressal process before taking any adverse action.

7.4 Suspension, Withholding & Termination

If, despite such efforts, the student continues to engage in prohibited conduct under Clause 7.2, or raises unusual or unsubstantiated expectations without reasonable proof of any deficiency in the service actually provided, Mentor Prep reserves the right, at its sole and reasonable discretion, to (i) issue a warning; (ii) temporarily suspend or withhold access to some or all services; and/or (iii) terminate the student's plan and account.

7.5 No Refund on Termination for Misuse

Where a plan is terminated or services are withheld under this Clause 7 on account of the student's own conduct, such termination shall be treated as a breach by the student, and no refund, whether full, partial, or prorated, shall be payable, consistent with the Refund & Cancellation Policy in Clause 6 above.

7.6 Study Material — Access, Not Ownership

All study material made available to a student during their plan — whether on the Test Portal or handed over by a mentor or admin in any other mode (including, without limitation, WhatsApp, email, or in-app) — is licensed for the student's use solely for the duration of the plan. No material is transferred or handed over to the student as their property; access is granted strictly for use while the plan is ongoing.

Mentor Prep reserves the right to withhold, revoke, or disable access to any and all such material upon expiry, completion, or termination of the student's plan. Continued use, retention, reproduction, or distribution of any material after the plan has ended is not permitted.

7.7 Governing Law & Compliance

These Terms, and any dispute arising from conduct under this Clause, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including:

  • the Indian Contract Act, 1872, under which the student's enrollment constitutes a binding contract and the conduct above constitutes a breach thereof;
  • the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, which Mentor Prep observes in good faith while reserving its right to act against misuse of the platform;
  • the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, in respect of abusive, obscene, or unlawful communications transmitted through the platform; and
  • the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, in respect of any conduct amounting to criminal intimidation, harassment, or defamation, which Mentor Prep reserves the right to report to the appropriate authorities.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Dhule, Maharashtra 424002, India.

8. JEE Topper / Consultant One-to-One Session

The Elite (6-Month) and Ultimate (12-Month) plans include access to a one-to-one interaction or consultant session with a JEE Topper. This session is offered subject to the following conditions:

  • Plan Eligibility: This session is available only under the Elite (6-Month) and Ultimate (12-Month) plans. It is not available under the Basic (1-Month) or Premium (3-Month) plans, in any case and under no circumstances.
  • Subject to Availability: The session is entirely subject to the availability of the consultant. Mentor Prep does not guarantee that a consultant will be available at any specific time requested by the student.
  • Subject to Assessed Need: The session is scheduled based on the need conveyed by the student's mentor, and not solely on the student's request. Mentor Prep and the mentor reserve the right to assess whether a session is warranted at a given time.
  • Monthly Cap: An eligible student may request this session at most once per calendar month. This is a maximum entitlement, not a guaranteed frequency, and is always subject to the availability and need conditions above.

Non-availability of a consultant, or a determination that a session is not needed at a given time, shall not be treated as a deficiency in service and shall not entitle the student to any refund, credit, or compensation.
